Christmas Tree Festival

We had a fabulous weekend at our Christmas Tree Festival. Thank you to all the wonderful crafters, the visitors, Father Christmas, the stewards and providers of refreshments. Most of the trees will remain in church for us all to enjoy until after Christmas.

Call My Wine Bluff

We had a brilliant time on Friday night – thank you to Greenfields Cheese and The Sheep Milk Company for the cheeses. And of course to our wonderful wine ‘experts’! We raised £733 for church funds and the auction of whisky donated by the family of the late Tom Blackburn raised a further £100.

Coffee Morning

A huge thank you to everyone for supporting our coffee morning – it was lovely to see so many people and we made a fantastic £503 for church funds.

Harvest Festival

What a delight to see children from Brabin’s School joining in our Harvest Thanksgiving worship on Sunday – they did so well. All Creatures Great and Small

On 27th June we had a wonderful Pet Service featuring dogs, cats and even a horse! Thank you to everybody who brought along their pet.

Goodbye Fiona

Sunday 25th July was the last Sunday when our vicar Fiona led our worship. We had a farewell meal in the Village Hall in the afternoon when we wished Fiona and Stan well in their retirement. We said our final goodbyes at our Garden Party on Saturday 31st July.

Chip-in-to Mereside

Congratulations to Bishop Philip who walked 36 miles in to raise over £14,000 in aid of Freedom Centre, Mereside.
