What’s On
Mission & Outreach
We give regular support to four charities throughout the year.
The Foxton Centre a Christian based charity in Preston work with the homeless and marginalised.
Maundy Relief , a Christian based charity in Accrington, provide an immediate response to local poverty and need.
Ribble Valley Food Bank provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people in crisis.
Toilet Twinning, part of the international development and relief agency Tearfund, provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene education.
Music
Our choir of men and women sing each Sunday morning. New members are always welcome and you do not need to be able to read music. The church band plays at All Age Worship on the 4th Sunday of the month. All ages and instruments are welcome. St Bart’s has a splendid ‘Father Willis’ pipe organ and we welcome visiting organists by arrangement. Contact music co-ordinator Joanna to learn more.
Bell Ringing
The bells are rung each Sunday morning and for weddings or funerals on request. We ring from the ground floor, so ringers do not have to negotiate the steep tower stair. Bell ringing is for all ages – our youngest member is a teenager, the oldest is in their 80’s. The ringing team practise on Thursday evenings at 8pm and new members are always welcome. Contact Tower Captain Jeff Fildes to learn more.
